PhantomFX is on the lookout for an experienced and talented Senior Unreal Engine Artist to join our team at our studios in Chennai and Mumbai! If you have a background in VFX for feature films and a passion for creating photoreal environments for both international and domestic movies, commercials, and series, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.
As a Senior Unreal Engine Artist at PhantomFX, you will:
- Create visually stunning and optimized experiences in collaboration with the art and development teams.
- Utilize Unreal Engine for lighting, shading, and material creation.
- Implement captivating visual effects using Unreal’s particle systems and shaders.
- Optimize performance by addressing rendering bottlenecks and optimizing assets.
- Collaborate with artists to transform creative visions into realities.
- Stay updated on industry techniques to elevate visual quality.
- Develop tools and streamline the art production pipeline.
- Troubleshoot technical issues related to art and graphics in Unreal Engine.
- Push the boundaries of interactive storytelling and gameplay.
Requirements:
- Proficiency in Unreal Engine, focusing on lighting, shading, and materials.
- Understanding of real-time rendering techniques and performance optimization.
- Experience with art-related software (Maya, Substance Painter, Photoshop).
- Portfolio showcasing effects created with Unreal’s engine.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
- Passion for immersive VFX experiences.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Graphics, VFX, or related field.
- 5+ years working experience as an unreal engine artist preferred, with prior 3D experience as a bonus.
- Proficiency in Blueprints scripting and automation workflows.
- Knowledge of scripting languages (Python, C#) and unreal engine software.
