An epic anti-war movie from 2022 titled All Quiet on the Western Front is based on Erich Maria Remarque’s 1929 book of the same name. Felix Kammerer, Albrecht Schuch, Daniel Brühl, Sebastian Hülk, Aaron Hilmer, Edin Hasanovic, and Devid Striesow are among the cast members under Edward Berger’s direction. It centers on the lives of Paul Bäumer, a young German soldier who is idealistic and serves in the latter days of World War I. Bäumer’s early dreams of being a hero are dashed as he struggles to live after joining the German Army alongside his buddies and is exposed to the harsh reality of war.
