This month, Netflix will end another of its shows, but the fantasy drama Locke and Key will end on its own terms rather than being abruptly canceled like many others.

The series, which is based on Stephen King’s son Joe Hill’s graphic novels, follows a family that moves across the country to their ancestral home after a violent personal tragedy.

Tyler (Connor Jessup), Kinsey (Emilia Jones), and Bode (Jackson Robert Scott) begin to discover magical keys that grant their users incredible abilities as they settle into the grand old Keyhouse.

However, the Locke children are forced to become an essential line of defense against the evil they would unleash on the world because of the enormous power of these objects, which draws the attention of some evil entities.

Frederick Gideon (Kevin Durand), a British Army captain from the American Revolution whose already-cruel soul was further corrupted by a demon from behind the Black Door, will be their primary opponent in season 3.

He is an even greater threat than the defeated Dodge, who was played by a variety of actors in the first two seasons. Now roaming around in the present day as an Echo, he will stop at nothing to achieve his sinister objectives.
