Chadwick Aaron Boseman (November 29, 1976 – August 28, 2020) was an American actor. Born and raised in South Carolina, he took up acting professionally after he studied directing at Howard University.

Boseman has battled colon cancer since 2016 and died at home with his family and wife by his side, according to a statement posted on his Twitter account. He was 43.
